A charming Mill House nestled into the valley near Dartmouth needed some TLC having been in the family for many decades. The property was given a loving restoration using fine fabrics, a new Tadelakt bathroom and luxury light fittings throughout. We scoured the antiques fairs to find the most interesting finishing touches - those with a patina and a story of their own to tell. Finally the garden was given a new lease of life with front decking in a rustic style in-keeping with the rest of the design theme, reclaimed slabs were also sourced for front and back patio areas. A wood fired hot tub and beautiful and sympathetic outside lighting complete the experience. This property is now available as a Unique Home Stay https://www.uniquehomestays.com/self-catering/uk/devon/dartmouth/ellesmera-mill/

Unique Holiday Cottage
Luxury home stay in Devon. A very dilapidated and derelict barn was converted into a stylish "boutique hotel" inspired home stay. The former resident, a free range Peacock inspired the interior design scheme and the property is embellished with dark and luscious colours and zingy pops abound.

A fun and quirky renovation, focusing on dark colours but with shots of glimmering accents, textures and materials to create comfort and a sense of drama. Colour pops and a sense of humour make this property a joy to live in.

Cornish Holiday Home
A holiday cottage in Cornwall that needed bringing up to date to bring it in line with the competitive luxury market in this area.
The end wall where the woodburner sat with no fire surround was of particular concern as no art work could be hung above because of the heat from the burner, equally no furniture could be placed nearby.
By creating a Faux fireplace out of cornish kerbstone we created something that is both in keeping with the time, era and locality of the property and created a nice place to store pretty objects and an interesting convex mirror which pings light around the room and adds a bit of drama.
The two images at the bottom show the property before.
After successful completion of the downstairs scheme the clients commissioned me to re-furbish their two bedrooms and hallway and a third phase shower room renovation will be completed by the end of 2017. Building a relationship with clients is important to me and I immensely enjoy getting to know clients and their properties.
A little refresh of the downstairs of a cottage in Devon. The clients wanted to embrace colour and needed a helping hand to continue on the path of brave colour choices. This project was all about the details, leading edges on curtains and contrast piping on the chairs with metallic hints in copper lights and accessories all help to make this a fun and embracing family living space.
